Totally bad week!
Guess what day is today...SATURDAY! Yes folks, today is Saturday, the 6th day of the week, the day when I'm suppose to be sleeping till lunch time and lying in bed all day watching TV....but no! Instead, I'm here at the office Waiting for my boss and planning to spend the whole day here assisting him and filing whatever papers I can find here. He asked me to go to the office today to assist him. Due to his date of birth, he isn't that proficient in using the computer that's why he wants me around in case he...I mean, his computer goes mad.
This week really sucks! First, the other assistant was absent the whole week and so I was in charge of assisting the oldies she is in charge with. Then, a new task was assigned to me which was a task for two people. Do the math, I'm doing the job that's supposed to be for four people! Three additional tasks without additional pay! Just the thought of it sucks, imagine how it feels doing it!
Shit! My boss just called and told me he ain't working today here!!!! He's just going to drop by to pick up his computer and some documents! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr........ so the main reason why I even bothered waking up at 5:30 AM and traveling two hours from Novaliches to Makati was forfeited just like that! I feel so powerless. As I was talking to him, I want to yell at him and make him feel guilty for all the hassles he caused me and for backing out just when I was already here at the office! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr........
But then again, I don't want to end up jobless so I just suppressed my urge to go ballistic on him. That old man! I don't care if his blood pressure hits the roof! He should have come when he said he will.
Now, I really have to work till afternoon when he will drop by and pick up whatever it is he wants to pick up. I shouldn't have come!!! I'm really sleepy and really, really tired from the recent 5-day work. And what do I get for coming today? NADA, ZERO, NIL, ZILCH, a big NOTHING!
Hmmmm....lemme think....well, I can stay till 6PM just surfing the net and file the four hours (since half-day every Saturday is really included in our salary) as my overtime so I could at least get a little money to compensate the money I spent and will spend today for my transportation and food. Good idea! When life throws you lemons, throw 'em back...I mean, turn it into lemonade...is that right?! Yeah, sounds good enough for me.
