Still having hangovers with my recent (brief) vacation to province. I think I gained few pounds 'coz all we did was eat and eat. Wedding here, fiesta there, even Mother's day (which we don't usually celebrate here) was celebrated there with tons of food.

I eventually got tired of eating and proceed to the next best thing...TV! I got to watch the most talked about American Idol...they had a marathon yesterday. Only the preliminary audition part. I saw the fastest rising new star, William Hung hehe. I heard he already released his album in the US. Lucky boy, he got his 15 minutes of fame thanks to Ricky Martin's "She Bangs". I was able to watch him shake his bon bon for the first time in national TV...hehe. He really is funny! He looks like the nerdy type of guy, and when Simon and Randy (the judges) were laughing hard on his face, he seems like the most clueless guy I've ever seen. Paula (the only female judge) on the other hand, was enjoying dancing to his song. I also saw Camille Valasquez, from Hawaii. They say she's a Filipina. She's pretty and she sings very well. Too bad she was voted out of the contest.

After American Idol, the Survivor finale was shown on Channel 23. The two power players, Boston Rob and Amber succeeded. They were the final two left from which the jury chose who get to go home a million dollar richer. But just before the votes were read, Boston Rob got down on his knees and proposed to Amber. Wow! Survivor Romance...hehe. Of course Amber said yes. Very wise move Boston Rob. Either way, he gets the million. One survivor contestant jokingly asked if they had signed a pre-nup. Amber was named the ultimate survivor which is quite expected since Boston Rob betrayed most of his alliances. Shi-ann got a new car courtesy of Amber, she thinks Shi-ann was the deciding vote that made her win the million. Shi-ann was my bet, I was hoping she would win just so there would be an Asian winner in the Survivor history. I also liked her because she is a tough chick. She was the last one left from the Mogo-Mogo tribe. Another romance was also revealed in that reunion, Ethan the winner of Survivor Africa, the soccer player with curly hair was dating Jenna the winner of Survivor Outback (...I think), a model. I'm sensing another survivor season coming entitled...."Survivor Babies"!

BTW, I caught the bouquet at my cousin's wedding...
